Oh y'all. My pants got tight.
Summer was full of fun date nights, BBQs, trips, and parties.
And I look like I could be 8 weeks pregnant, but it's just a food baby (made of predominantly grilled meat and queso).
Time to get down to business.
I broke up with the scale (in terms of it defining my self-worth and weighing myself daily), but I stepped on it for a reality check. Ug-ly. But you know what...for the first time in a loooooong time (maybe ever) the number on the scale, though it was higher than I wanted it to be, didn't make me mad for days. It was just a "oh hey summer of fun. Time to get off my hips."
It's ok. I know what to do. Reign it in. Get in some extra workouts. No biggie. I am not buying any more fat clothes. We got rid of those. So when these fit clothes feel tight (and I feel like a busted can of biscuits), it's time to change it up. And so far, changing it up has been good. I'm down like 3 pounds this week. Thank goodness!
Just being real, here. This is life, yo. Life is full of fun stuff and good food. But I gotta learn when to quit stuffing bites into my pie hole....something I haven't perfected yet. :)
I know that continuing to train for the indoor triathlon and the 10K will help....but it's time to do work, son.
I also spent some time Sunday meal prepping for the week. I have my breakfasts and lunches ready...and some food prep done for dinners. This helps set me up for success so I don't have to think about it. It takes a couple hours to shop and prep on the weekends, but it's SO worth it.
Here goes (again!) ha!
